The Carmat Quiz is a 5-question matcher. You answer in about 90 seconds; we score every mat in our review database against your answers and return the top picks — ranked, with the reasoning shown. No email, no signup. The quiz runs entirely in your browser.
The 5 Dimensions We Ask About
- Climate — snowy, rainy, hot & dusty, or moderate. Drives spill-containment + UV-resistance weighting.
- Priority — protection, easy cleaning, looks, or value. Sets the dominant score axis.
- Lifestyle — pets, kids, off-road, daily commute, or weekend driver. Maps to our internal best-for tags.
- Budget — under $50, $50–$130, or $130+. Hard-filters the candidate pool to your price range.
- Fit preference — custom-fit only or trim-to-fit acceptable. Hard-filters by fit type.
How We Score
Each mat in our database has measured attributes — lip height, thickness, anti-slip backing, warranty, material, fit type. Your answers produce a weighted vector across those attributes plus a set of hard filters (budget + fit). We rank the surviving mats and surface the top matches. If your filters return nothing, we relax them by one tier and tell you we did.
What You Get
A ranked list of 3–5 mats, each linked to the full review with the scoring breakdown. Every recommendation is a mat we've actually tested under our 5-factor methodology — fit accuracy, spill containment, durability, anti-slip, and odor.
